Georg Granitsch (1833-1903) was a politician and journalist, since 1868 a member of the Lower Austrian parliament and since 1873 also the Reich Council.

V 1877 nemecký umelec Hans Canon vytvoril 19th storočia umelecké dielo s názvom "The Imperial Council deputy Georg Granitsch". Čím ďalej 140 ročný originál mal túto veľkosť: 71 x 58 cm - rozmery rámu: 108 x 92 x 11 cm. Olej na plátne was applied by the European painter as the technique for the masterpiece. The artpiece has the following text as inscrption: "signed and Dated left lateral .: CANON. 1877th". It is included in the Belvedere art collection located in Vienna, Austria. We are pleased to reference that the public domain artwork is being included with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 3328. In addition to that, the artpiece has the following creditline: purchase from Susanne Granitsch, Vienna in 1935. Besides, the alignment is portrét a má bočný pomer 1: 1.2, znamená to že dĺžka je o 20% kratšia ako šírka. Hans Canon was a artist of German nationality, whose style can primarily be assigned to Historicism. The Historicist artist lived for a total of 56 rokov - born in the year 1829 in Vienna and passed away in the year 1885 in Vienna.
