This provides the model to be engraved in the new edition of "Contemplations" that fits into the complete works of Victor Hugo called "National Edition" published by Lemonnyer and Testard in 1886. A special drawing on paper luxury was carried to a thousand numbered copies to the press, with a double suite of etchings etching according Duez, Dagnan-Bouveret, Courtois, French and Deschamps for the first volume.
