During the eighteenth century, the Manchu Qing dynasty sponsored a major revival of courtly arts, which attained a new monumental scale, technical finish, and descriptive intricacy. A key figure in establishing this new court aesthetic was the Italian Jesuit Giuseppe Castiglione. A master of vividly naturalistic draftsmanship and large-scale compositions, in Europe he worked as a muralist. Castiglione helped to create a new, hybrid style that combined Western realism with traditional Chinese conventions of composition and brushwork. This monumental scroll, a unique example of a Castiglione preparatory drawing, is the model for one of Castiglione's most famous paintings, the One Hundred Horses scroll preserved in the National Palace Museum, Taipei. The drawing, although done with a brush rather than a pen, is executed almost exclusively in the European manner. Landscape is represented using Western-style perspective, figures are often shown in dramatically foreshortened views, and vegetation is depicted with spontaneous arabesques and cross-hatching. The large scale of the painting also suggests a European influence, as if Castiglione had taken a typical Western canvas and extended its length to make an architectural frieze.

Aký druh produktového materiálu uprednostňujete?

Pre každý produkt ponúkame škálu rôznych veľkostí a materiálov. Svoju obľúbenú veľkosť a materiál si môžete vybrať z nasledujúcich možností:

  • Hliníková dibondová tlač: Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with a true effect of depth. The bright parts of the original artwork shine with a silk gloss but without any glow. This print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a truly stylish way to display artworks, since it draws attention on the replica of the artwork.
  • Tlač na lesklé akrylové sklo (so skutočným skleneným povlakom): The acrylic glass print, which is often referred to as a plexiglass print, transforms the original artwork into brilliant wall decoration. Your own version of the work of art is being manufactured with modern UV direct print machines. The great benefit of an acrylic glass art print is that contrasts plus granular details will be more visible due to the very fine gradation.
  • Plagát (plátno): The poster print is a printed sheet of canvas with a slightly roughened finish on the surface. It is perfectly designed for putting the fine art print with the help of a customized frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6 cm around the painting to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Potlač na plátno: A canvas print, which should not be confused with a canvas painting, is a digital image printed from a UV direct printer. Further, a canvas print creates a cosy and warm atmosphere. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without the help of any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
