Additionally, the work of art has the creditline: Probably by descent through the family of the sitter to Pauline Marie Constance de Forestier d’Orges van Waalwijk, née Le Leu de Wilhem, until 1846; bequest of Pauline Adrienne Philippine de Forestier d’Orges van Waalwijk, The Hague, 1855.
