"Pefroen and the Sheep's Head" is a painting painted by the male Dutch maliar Cornelis Troost. The over 280 year-old original was painted with the size: height: 64 cm width: 52,1 cm | height: 25,2 in width: 20,5 in and was painted on the medium pastel, gouache on paper on canvas. Signed and dated: C. Troost 1739 is the artwork's inscription. It forms part of the Mauritshuis collection, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. The actor, painter Cornelis Troost was a European artist, whose art style can primarily be assigned to Baroque.
