The artist lived for a total of 55 rokov, born in the year 1629 in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands and passed away in the year 1684.

This scene of domestic virtue dates from De Hooch’s Amsterdam period. In a richly appointed house, two women put freshly pressed linen into a cupboard.
